Austin and Dathan: Manhatten Project

For your comments on Presentations:

First, write about something well done.  What did you learn from this group?  What part of the Presentation seemed the best?  Be specific, and use a specific example from the Presentation and your notes.

Second, offer constructive criticism that would help this group. What might have been more clear?  What part of the Presentation seemed the least polished?  Be specific.

  1. This presentation was very clear as to why the project for creating nuclear weapons was important, but the presentation sometimes went a little off topic

  2. I liked the way you showed how the development and use of nuclear weapons effects us today, and how the technology is used for multiple other things than violence. However I felt like the information sometimes strayed away from your particular topic.

  3. you did a great job of telling us how the project impacted humanities future, but you were a little choppy while speaking and seemed like you didn't know what you were going to say next. I'm not saying you didn't know what you were going to say but maybe try and make it flow a little better

  4. I like how the positives of the project were put into the presentation but I thought it was difficult to follow at times.

  5. I liked how this presentation really emphasized the environmental impact of nuclear projects. The only constructive criticism I have, is maybe a little more information on the people involved in the Manhattan Project.

  6. Very good project, the information was very interesting. One thing that could have been improved was the structure and organization of the powerpoint.

  7. I liked how you included the video to show the effect of the atomic bombs, but I found it hard to follow and connect to your iconic points at times.

  8. Interesting presentation, I wasn't aware that is was Einstein who warned the US of the threat of Atomic Bombs. It was organized to show the progression of the nuclear weapons. My only criticism was talking of an image that wasn't shown on the slide. Also how cancer was mentioned later and seemed to be a smaller sub-topic which was a little confusing.

  9. I really enjoyed your guys slides and the presentation was very visually appealing. I thought at times it seamed like your presentation was more about the effects of radiation instead of the Manhattan project itself.

  10. You two seemed to know the information and intelligently answer questions presented by us.

I really got lost in the information and didn't know what the purpose or point of facts were. There was no clear outline and it left me to piece things together.

  11. Good intro and use of not just listing basic facts. Good visuals and videos.
Dathan : good voice volume and tone.
Austin : good smoothness in presenting your info. good volume and tone. good interaction with audience and giving informative info in an entertaining way.
criticism : organization was a little blurry. I couldn't exactly decipher your points on why your topic was iconic. I also felt like your first video was a little disjointed from the current topic you were talking about.

  12. The presentation excelled in discussing the brevity of the usage of nuclear weapons, however, was off topic in a few locations making for a slightly difficult to follow train of thought.

  13. I thought it was very awesome you used Google Maps to give a visual on how much damage the bomb left.

Seemed unorganized in some aspects, also I feel a little more practice together would have made it better.
